Avengers Endgame is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from Marvel Studios. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper and every other famous person on the planet, the film hits theaters April 26, 2019.

The first trailer for Avengers Endgame is here! Yes – ENDGAME – is the official subtitle for the direct follow-up to this year’s highest grossing film – Avengers Infinity War. After Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped out half of the universe, the remaining heroes and survivors are in shambles trying to figure out a plan to bring their friends and family back. The trailer is pretty ominous and dedicates most of the runtime to Robert Downey Jr. leaving a space message for Pepper Potts and I could have taken or left that chunk of time myself, but I’m thinking they can’t reveal much footage until AFTER Captain Marvel’s theatrical release since she’s a major component of Endgame.

Fans got their first look at Ronin, aka a sad and more violent Hawkeye who I’m betting has resorted to being an assassin for hire after his family was most likely dusted in Infinity War offscreen. We also see Ant-Man make a funny return which is a nice touch considering they’re going to need his powers to help fix the giant universal F-up courtesy of our new lord Thanos. Look, people have been chomping at the bit for ANY Avengers news in the wake of Infinity War’s controversial conclusion and although this teaser wasn’t very action-packed, it was still a solid sneak peak at major things to come. Rumor has it that this will most likely be Downey’s last round as Iron Man and everybody was assuming that Chris Evans would be hanging up the shield as Captain America as well, but who knows with Marvel Studios… You can’t trust any of the leaks considering they’ve re-shot and added additional FAKE sequences just to screw with spies. This has to be the most secretive film with the largest budget in the history of cinema and I think that’s kinda cool to have in a world where people will spoil anything months in advance.
