Black Mirror Season 3 Coming to Netflix from Dead Set Creator Charlie Brooker

by | Sep 9, 2015

From creator Charlie Brooker (Dead Set) comes the dark sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror. Series 1 and 2 are currently available on Netflix with an upcoming third set to debut exclusively on the streaming service.

Originally airing on Channel 4 in the UK, Black Mirror is being hailed as our generation’s Twilight Zone. It’s an anthology series with stand-alone episodes that warn us of the dangers in advanced technology. To date both series one and two are available on Netflix (six episodes) with a seventh Christmas themed episode starring Jon Hamm (Mad Men) having aired on Channel 4.

Radio Times in the UK have reported that Netflix has landed a deal (although not confirmed by either Channel 4 or the streaming service) to produce original episodes for an upcoming third series.

If you have not seen Black Mirror yet, I urge you to do so. It’s one of the most unique and original television shows around at the moment. If you aren’t sold on Black Mirror all you have to do is check out the diverse content and themes presented in episodes 1 and 2. This is compelling, bizarre and unsettling work – I’m very excited that it’s coming to Netflix.
