Fantastic Four is a critically panned superhero adaptation of Marvel’s first family starring Miles Teller as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara as Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm (The Thing) and Toby Kebbell as Victor Von Doom.
It looks like FOX has pulled the planned sequel to this year’s Fantastic Four film. It was originally scheduled to hit theaters June 2, 2017 — one week after Star Wars Episode VIII. This is great news for comic fans, superhero film fans, movie fans in general and anyone else that was disturbed at how the dark and edgier reboot turned out.
The day of Fantastic Four’s theatrical release – director Josh Trank badmouthed the final cut on Twitter saying that he made a good film but that people wouldn’t see it. Shortly after, Trank had departed an upcoming Star Wars franchise film that he was on tap to helm as well and there were rumoured issues with the filmmaker on the set as well… At least we’ll always have Chronicle – which was badass and as it turns out — probably a fluke.
