First Look: Stephen Amell as Old Green Arrow & Connor Hawke in Legends of Tomorrow

by | Feb 19, 2016

From DC Comics, Warner Bros. Television and Producers Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow), Marc Guggenheim (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (Warehouse 13) and Sarah Schechter (Pan) comes Legends of Tomorrow. The new super hero team series and second spin-off from Arrow stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes (The Atom, Firestorm, White Canary, Captain Cold, Heatwave, Hawkman, Hawkgirl) and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

Stephen Amell will make a guest appearance in the sixth episode of this season titled ‘Legends’. Fans right away will notice how he looks very similar to the Green Arrow from Frank Miller’s seminal The Dark Knight Returns series (sans missing arm, but that is going to be the case according to producers). Also as an added bonus – Connor Hawke, aka Oliver Queen’s son also appears. This one is gonna be a blast for comic fans. I can’t wait.

“Every once and a while, we do an episode where the 10-year-old me has to pinch himself,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim said previously of Oliver’s upcoming appearance. “We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”
