The 2017 Game Awards were held yesterday and the fourth annual show saw Nintendo pick up their first Game of The Year Award since the celebration has existed with Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Check out the full list of winners and our top 5 trailer reveals from the ceremonies:
Cuphead
If you had told me that Nintendo would still be around in 2017 after their disastrous Wii U console, I would have laughed at you. If you had told me they’d be releasing two of the most impressive games of the entire YEAR in 2017 on yet another brand new console, I wouldn’t have believed it either. But here we are – 2017 – the Nintendo Switch is killing it and not only did The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild win GAME OF THE YEAR (with 3 awards total), but Super Mario Odyssey came out and destroyed everything else this Fall.
The fourth annual Game Awards dished out the industry’s best of 2017, including Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice (3 awards), Cuphead (3 awards) and Overwatch which won 2 awards even though it came out last year. We also saw several upcoming game trailers which looked fantastic. Here are my top 5:
