OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
“Better Call Saul”
“Downton Abbey”
“Game of Thrones”
“Homeland”
“House of Cards”
“Mad Men”
“Orange is the New Black”
“Game of Thrones is due for a win after five huge seasons and a growing audience. The show constantly rakes in tech awards (just like it did this year again) and without the competition of Breaking Bad, I believe the show is due for a major win. That being said – Better Call Saul is a work of genius and it’s the show I would personally prefer taking home the best drama series award if I had to go by the selection of nominees here. If Thrones doesn’t snag top honours, Better Call Saul will likely carry the Breaking Bad torch to glory for AMC.”
OUTSTANDING COMEDY SERIES
“Louie”
“Modern Family”
“Parks and Recreation”
“Silicon Valley”
“Transparent”
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”
“Veep”
“Transparent will win this category hands down no contest homerun. The content of the show about an aging transgender man is far too timely and current to ignore and it’s being hailed as one of the more original comedy series in years. If I could personally pick a favourite it would be Mike Judge’s ‘Silicon Valley’ but I don’t see that show taking home the Emmy. The darkhorse here is Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes home the Emmy in the small possibility that Transparent fails.”
LEAD ACTOR, DRAMA
Bob Odenkirk, “Better Call Saul”
Kyle Chandler, “Bloodline”
Kevin Spacey, “House of Cards”
Jon Hamm, “Mad Men”
Jeff Daniels, “The Newsroom”
Liev Schreiber, “Ray Donovan”
“I think this is Liev Schreiber’s year to win an Emmy. Ray Donovan has been astounding this year and I believe he’s the favourite in 2015. If Jeff Daniels wins for that piece of shit The Newsroom I wouldn’t be surprised since it just had it’s final season but the same can be said for Jon Hamm in Mad Men which also just wrapped up. If Schreiber doesn’t win I’m expecting Bob Odenkirk will take this home but it depends if Better Call Saul wins best series – because I don’t see them awarding both the series and it’s leading man this soon.”
LEAD ACTRESS, DRAMA
Taraji P. Henson, “Empire”
Claire Danes, “Homeland”
Viola Davis, “How to Get Away with Murder”
Tatiana Maslany, “Orphan Black”
Elisabeth Moss, “Mad Men”
Robin Wright, “House of Cards”
Taraji P. Henson is a showstealer and her performance in Empire from what I’ve been told, is unbelievable. I don’t watch the show nor do I ever feel the urge to do so but I can’t ignore the push for her to snag the Emmy in this category. If it was up to me I’d give it to Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black – a series that is supremely underrated.
LEAD ACTOR, LIMITED SERIES OR MOVIE
Timothy Hutton, “American Crime”
Ricky Gervais, “Derek Special”
Adrien Brody, “Houdini”
David Oyelowo, “Nightingale”
Richard Jenkins, “Olive Kitteridge”
Mark Rylance, “Wolf Hall”
“I haven’t seen any of these. But Richard Jenkins is due for some recognition and even though Adrien Brody will probably win I’m going for the longshot here and say Jenkins. JENKINS!
LEAD ACTRESS, LIMITED SERIES OR MOVIE
Felicity Huffman, “American Crime”
Jessica Lange, “American Horror Story”
Queen Latifah, “Bessie”
Maggie Gyllenhaal, “The Honorable Woman”
Frances McDormand, “Olive Kitteridge”
Emma Thompson, “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street”
Jessica Lange has too many awards already and let’s be honest – as good as American Horror Story: Freak Show was compared to the shitty previous couple series, it doesn’t deserve this many nods…. Give it to Maggie Gyllenhaal.
LEAD ACTOR, COMEDY
Anthony Anderson, “black-ish”
Matt LeBlanc, “Episodes”
Don Cheadle, “House of Lies”
Will Forte, “The Last Man On Earth”
Louis C.K., “Louie”
William H. Macy, “Shameless”
Jeffrey Tambor, “Transparent”
“See above on why Transparent will win best comedy series. Yup.“
LEAD ACTRESS, COMEDY
Lisa Kudrow, “The Comeback”
Lily Tomlin, “Grace And Frankie”
Amy Schumer, “Inside Amy Schumer”
Edie Falco, “Nurse Jackie”
Amy Poehler, “Parks And Recreation”
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, “Veep”
Amy Schumer is the most famous funny woman on the planet right now isn’t she? Yeah she’ll win this. Julia Louis-Dreyfus doesn’t have any more room for another award in her house – which was built strictly to just store awards.
LIMITED SERIES
“American Crime”
“American Horror Story: Freak Show”
“The Honorable Woman”
“Olive Kitteridge”
“Wolf Hall”
TELEVISION MOVIE

Jonathan Banks, “Better Call Saul”
Ben Mendelsohn, “Bloodline”
Jim Carter, “Downton Abbey”
Peter Dinklage, “Game Of Thrones”
Alan Cumming, “The Good Wife”
Michael Kelly, “House Of Cards”
Jonathan Banks’ supporting performance as Mike in Better Call Saul was genius. Banks will win this or the planet will implode upon itself.
SUPPORTING ACTRESS, DRAMA
Joanne Froggatt, “Downton Abbey”
Lena Headey, “Game Of Thrones”
Emilia Clarke, “Game Of Thrones”
Christine Baranski, “The Good Wife”
Christina Hendricks, “Mad Men”
Uzo Aduba, “Orange Is The New Black”
Uzo’s portrayal of ‘Crazy Eyes’ in Orange is The New Black’ has created one of the most loved characters to ever grace television. She’s done such a good job playing this character over the course of three seasons that I think giving her the Emmy would be a no-brainer. Lena Headey using a nude stunt double cost her the chance – sorry Lena. And that would’be been a slamdunk too…
SUPPORTING ACTOR, COMEDY
Andre Braugher, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”
Adam Driver, “Girls”
Keegan-Michael Key, “Key & Peele”
