Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Thank you Empire and director James Gunn for releasing some crazy new concept art from the upcoming Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2! It’s hard to say if this is an important moment in the film or if it’s just a passing action scene that’s just there for fun. I’m thinking the latter, as Gunn wouldn’t drop something super vital to the plot this early. Plus, his films have been known to be hilarious, so it could really just be a fleeting moment. Just look at little Groot in the bottom left – amazing. There’s no official description either – so the tentacled beast remains nameless – but feel free to gossip amongst thyselves.
