From Lionsgate and director Dean Israelite (Project Almanac), comes Power Rangers. The new big screen reboot of the popular kids show was penned by Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class) and stars Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), Becky G (Yellow Ranger) and Elizabeth Banks. Power Rangers hits theatres March 24, 2017.
A group of ordinary high school kids find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world.
Actress Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) has been tapped to play the villain in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot from Lionsgate. Banks will be playing Rita Repulsa, who you may remember as that crazy chick with the jester hat who was imprisoned for thousands of years and winds up living on the moon to send monsters down to earth for the Rangers to beat up. You know – that old story.
