From Lionsgate and director Dean Israelite (Project Almanac), comes Power Rangers. The new big screen reboot of the popular kids show was penned by Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class) and stars Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), Becky G (Yellow Ranger) and Elizabeth Banks. Power Rangers hits theatres March 24, 2017.
A group of ordinary high school kids find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world.
“It’s tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume,”“Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.” said production designer Andrew Menzies (G.I. Joe: Retaliation).
