Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F Has an English Dub Release Date!

by | May 26, 2015

Dragon Ball Resurrection F finally gets a North American release date!! The English dub version of Resurrection F will be playing in theaters across North America starting August 4th and running until August 12th 2015.

Funimation stated that fans who are excited to see the film can go to The Official Dragon Ball Z website to be alerted when tickets can be purchased.  It seems 2015 is shaping up to be an exciting year for fans of Earth’s Special Forces and the entire Dragon Ball universe.

Already this year we’ve gotten Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the latest fighting game set in the Dragon Ball world which was released back in February. Its arguably  the best Dragon Ball fighting game yet and undoubtedly the best since Budokai 3. On top of that we will also see a new Dragon Ball Fighting game released on the Nintendo 3DS. Dragon Ball Extreme Butoden, will be a 2D fighting game that will feature over 100 playable characters that can go head to head in both one on one and team battles. Although Extreme Butoden is currently only set for release in Japan on June 11, its likely that Bandai Namco will put out a North American version after the success of Xenoverse selling over 1.5 million copies worldwide.

On the film side of things, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F was played in theaters across Japan back on April 18th opening at number one and earning over 8.1 million dollars. Resurrection F is the 20th full length Dragon Ball film and takes place shortly after Dragon Ball Z: Battle of  Gods. For those who did not get a chance to go to theaters to see Battle of Gods or have not bought the extended blu-ray and watched it 6 times already, its definitely worth watching before going into Resurrection F because the stories are connected.

If you’re more of a TV person then we have some super news for you! A new anime is in the works called Dragon Ball Super. The show is set to begin airing in Japan starting on July 15th and the original creator Akira Toriyama will be directly creating the show himself as he has done for the last 2 full length features. We also know that the show will take place after the Majin Buu saga. Lets hope we get an English dub soon! With how successful the last 2 movies have been I think its safe to say it wont be long before we hear the voice actors we know and love.

However if you’d rather read your Dragon Ball than watch it, well then get excited because along with the new series, will come a manga directly following the television show that will start being released in Japan on May 21st. A Resurrection F manga is also in the works with a few chapters already available to read.

There are a lot of really awesome Dragon Ball related things this year — let us know in the comments what you are excited for and if you want to know more about any of the stuff I mentioned then feel free to ask and I will see what I can do for you!
