Rick and Morty season 4 will return (at some point) via Adult Swim and creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. The hit series features the voices of Justin Roiland, Spencer Grammer, Chris Parnell, Sarah Chalke and a ton of amazing guest stars.
After having been missing for nearly 20 years, Rick Sanchez suddenly arrives at daughter Beth’s doorstep to move in with her and her family. Although Beth welcomes Rick into her home, her husband, Jerry, isn’t as happy about the family reunion. Jerry is concerned about Rick, a sociopathic scientist, using the garage as his personal laboratory. In the lab, Rick works on a number of sci-fi gadgets, some of which could be considered dangerous. But that’s not all Rick does that concerns Jerry. He also goes on adventures across the universe that often involve his grandchildren, Morty and Summer.
FINALLY. After months of limbo, Justin Roiland has announced today that Rick and Morty is returning and not just for a fourth season, but for AN ADDITIONAL 70 EPISODES. Seventy? Yes 70. Now a typical season so far of Rick and Morty (there have been only three) is 10 episodes. So either they are extending the season length, or we just got news that SEVEN MORE SEASONS are coming. What the hell is that? That’s Adult Swim delivering what the people need – what we crave. I’m happy that Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland got what they wanted and I hope part of that deal was a shitload of money, because Rick and Morty is the most groundbreaking animated series on the planet right now with the potential to become the greatest cartoon show for adults, ever. I’m kind of thinking it already is, but this insane deal likely cements that legacy.
