Day 3 of the 2015 San Diego Comic Con has come to a close. Check out my pick for the best announcement – Plus all the other highlights that stood out on the third day of SDCC2015.
The Best Announcement of The Day:
Full Length Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer Cements DC Comics’ Victory of Comic-Con Weekend
I’ve never been a fan of Superman, which is probably why I loved Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. People give Warner Bros. shit for making their DC Film Universe so dark and serious, but I think you have to go there and director Zack Snyder is the perfect man for the job. Example – Watchmen – which was a masterpiece.
I’m getting that kind of vibe from the first full length trailer of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (In theatres March 25, 2016). Seeing Ben Affleck in action as both Bruce Wayne and The Dark Knight were definitely the highlights here even though we got some snippets of Wonder Woman in action too. The introduction alone of Wayne running into the chaos during what appears to be a Superman battle in order to save a small child, was perfect. I cannot wait for this flick. DC Comics is owning this weekend and owning it hard (doesn’t hurt that Marvel is on vacation this weekend).

The Rest of My Favourite Highlights:
First Trailer for Outcast Series From The Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman
I’m in love with this comic series and having Patrick Fugit as the lead in Outcast was such a perfect decision. Even though the comic itself is so fresh, which means the show will likely clash with it and clash quickly in terms of advancing the plot, I don’t even care. Bring it — we have director Adam Wingard kicking this show off and he did The Guest, which is one of the best movies I’ve seen in years.
Outcast doesn’t hit television until 2016, but when it does it’ll be on Cinemax, a network known for it’s very R-Rated material. Stay tuned for this one — it isn’t your typical exorcism inspired horror romp. Not even close.

Old Man Logan is Either Hugh Jackman’s Final Wolverine Film or a Massive Influence on it
During the Fox panel, actor Hugh Jackman dropped one of the most amazing quotes of the entire weekend when asked about his third solo and final Wolverine film with him as the character by saying:
“I’ve got three words for you guys: Old Man Logan,” – Jackman.
The upcoming Wolverine film is scheduled for release March 3, 2017. If it actually is an adaptation of the post apocalyptic tale Old Man Logan from writer Mark Millar….. Holy shit — by far my favorite Wolverine story and probably my favorite Marvel mini-series of all time. It’s that good.
Upcoming AMC Martial Arts Series Into The Badlands Unleashes First Action Packed Trailer
Loosely based on the classic Chinese tale ‘Journey to The West’, the upcoming Into The Badlands stars Daniel Wu as a warrior embarking on a mission across a dangerous land. Deal. Done. No more synopsis needed – sign me up. Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar are gearing up to release the AMC TV series in late 2015 for a six-episode first season.

New Warcraft Movie Posters Reveal Travis Fimmel as Lothar & Toby Kebbel as Durotan
On June 10, 2016, the big screen adaptation of the hit Blizzard gaming franchise Warcraft hits the big screen. Travis Fimmel can currently be seen on History’s hit series Vikings, so he’s already been practising for the part of Lothar the past 5 or so years. Toby Kebbel is playing Dr. Doom in the new Fantastic Four and he stole the show as Koba in Dawn of The Planet of The Apes. This movie is gonna kick ass and probably find a way to be the geekiest big budget film of the past decade in the process.
