Supergrid is a post-apocalyptic action film from the director of Wolfcop/Another Wolfcop – Lowell Dean. Starring Leo Fafard, Marshall Williams, Natalie Krill, Jay Reso, Amy Matysio and Jonathan Cherry, the film is scheduled for release in 2018 via Raven Banner.

SuperGrid is set in a near future where mining conglomerates have turned Canada into a wasteland. Two brothers must travel the same road that claimed their sister’s life in their quest to deliver mysterious cargo. En route they must contend with road pirates, rebel gangs, and each other.

I’ve been chomping at the bit to see some footage of Lowell Dean’s Supergrid. Today is that beautiful day and oh what a lovely day it is. The Canadian Fury Road is here with the first trailer for Supergrid! Starring Leo Fafard (Wolfcop) the film is about two brothers forced to traverse the most dangerous road in the apocalypse. This preview was loaded with action and glorious moments that legit shocked me. For an independent movie, Supergrid looks and feels like it actually had a decent budget and that’s something that Lowell Dean and the production team had to bust their asses off to achieve. I’m excited to see Fafard play a different major role, as opposed to the drunken pervy Wolfcop we all know and love. Plus I’m a sucker for post-apocalyptic movies – a massive sucker. It might be my favourite genre ever in any medium. Add the fact that it’s a Canadian movie shot in Saskatchewan and I was on board forever ago when I first heard they were making this thing.

“It’s a post-apocalyptic action movie, about two brothers who are not getting along but are forced into a vehicle on a suicide mission on the Supergrid – which is basically like the number one highway, if it was the high seas and instead of pirates there’s all these enemy jackals and if you pull over, you’re gonna get mugged or killed.” – Lowell Dean (click HERE for the full interview where he talks about filming Supergrid and more!)
