From Sony, director Nikolaj Arcel and based on the acclaimed series of novels by Stephen King comes The Dark Tower. Starring Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Jackie Earle Haley, Katheryn Winnick, Abbey Lee, Fran Kranz, Jake Chambers and Claudia Kiim the film is scheduled to hit theaters July 28, 2017.
Gunslinger Roland Deschain roams an Old West-like landscape in search of the dark tower, in the hopes that reaching it will preserve his dying world.
While The Dark Tower looks like a badass action film, I’m not getting the right vibe of weird fantasy that I really expected from this adaptation in the trailer. The whole “invading Earth” thing seems weak to me… That being said – it’s still an interesting film and I hope it does well. It’s no “IT” teaser, but it’ll do.
