From the bottom of our hearts, we simply want to say thank you.
Articles like this are never easy to write, and I could go on indefinitely about what this site has meant to us. From its origins as Keven Skinner’s Fox Force Five News to its evolution into 615 Film over three years ago, this site has been on an incredible journey. I am incredibly proud of the work every contributor has put into this platform as we built our audience and gained recognition in the film community.
However, the landscape of film criticism and news is shifting. Between the evolving nature of search engine algorithms and social media trends, the digital environment has changed significantly. Furthermore, as Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Bob said in One Battle After Another: “Life, man. Life!” Our team is growing and adapting to new personal chapters, and it’s time for us to move on.
We will publish our final four articles this week: reviews for The Testament of Ann Lee and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, along with “Best of 2025” lists from Kevin Allen and myself.
But before we sign off at the end of this week, a few important notes:
1. Everything You See Here Will Be Archived
All the stuff you see on 615 Film will be archived. I could never, ever just remove any of the hard work everyone put in here. More details on where you will see everything archived will be announced in the near future.
2. When It Comes to Writing – We Are Not Going Anywhere
Just because 615 Film is coming to an end does not mean its active writers are going anywhere. Going forward, you can find Mike Joseph’s work here at Medium. As for Kevin Allen and myself, we are embarking on a new venture in March. More details about that will be announced soon.
3. Most Importantly, Thank You
Whether you’ve read a single article, a handful, or every article that’s ever been published, we sincerely thank you for taking time out of your day(s) to read the words we’ve published here. It means a lot from every single one of us here.
