Filmmaker Robert Eggers, whose debut movie The Witch is garnering massive critical acclaim, is reportedly in talks to direct a TV mini series about the infamous Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin.
Eggers and his team from The Witch are in discussion with Media Rights Capital (Ted 2) to helm an upcoming television mini-series that would run six to eight episodes in length and follow one of history’s most interesting characters – Rasputin. Eggers did an incredible job weaving an intrique with the Occult in his debut feature, so this decision sounds like a great follow-up for the director.
