You may already have piles or boxes of unread comics sitting at home, but should be an excuse to miss out on this weeks new books. To highlight a couple of this weeks new releases, here is my list of Top 5 Comics.

Jo’s investigation into the conspiracy at the heart of the City Enduring takes her to Platform Solid Ground, an alien farmland where most of the City’s food comes from. But what the headstrong Green Lantern discovers there shakes even her to the core as Far Sector’s thrilling threads of murder and machinations build to a fever pitch.

Cecily’s spent her entire unlife preparing for just such a moment of survival of the fittest, but now she’s dragging along an inexperienced vampire fledgling. As the snow begins to fall, it’s kill…or let an innocent newbie get you killed.

M.O.D.O.K. HEAD GAMES #1 – $3.99

Publisher – Marvel Comics

Creators – Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum, Scott Hepburn, Carlos Lopez, Doaly

M.O.D.O.K. is the ruthless and brilliant leader of the terrorist organization AIM, outsmarting heroes and outmaneuvering his cutthroat colleagues gunning for his position… but when he begins to be haunted by memories of a family he never had, it leaves him unsure if he is losing his freakishly-large mind, or if perhaps there is a lot more to this enormous mind… or if there is something more sinister behind these visions.

SPY ISLAND #4 – $3.99

Publisher – Dark Horse Comics

Creators – Chelsea Cain, Elise McCall, Lia Miternique, Rachelle Rosenberg, Joe Caramagna

Super spy Nora Freud is just like the rest of us: fit, stylish, sardonic, devilishly attractive, annoyingly smart, and maybe, possibly, a tiny bit imperfect? Could Nora’s family baggage be key to identifying the recent fauna agitation in the Bermuda Triangle?  Nah. It probably has something to do with the super villain in the underwater sea lab.

Bonus Picks – Inkblot #4, King in Black #1, E-Ratic #1, Heavy #3, Red Atlantis #2
