Wednesday is here, and new comics are within reach. So you may be like me and still have a stack of comics that haven’t been read from last week, but here is a list of new titles I will be picking up at my local comic shop.

Like many readers I try to budget my purchases, which can become difficult with the vast amount of quality books being published currently. This week is the release of DC’s Rebirth, but I have chosen to highlight five other titles you should also be picking up this week, plus a few extras for those of you who finally got that refund from that faulty sprinkler you returned.

Comic reader need to wake up to the great books Heavy Metal is publishing. It is not too late to pick up the previous issues of one of my favorite current series, The Doorman. Issue 3 comes out this week and features a new ally Koalmanac, who, if you didn’t figure out, is a koala. So what happens when a koala has the answers to this galactic conspiricy? We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

Only the biggest and most infamous starship race in the galaxy! You know – the race Han has dreamt of winning his entire life. Will he keep his mind on the mission? And can he manage to pull it off while keeping the lead? Best-selling author Marjorie Liu (X-MEN) comes to the Galaxy Far, Far Away along with superstar cover artist Mark Brooks (ULTIMATE X-MEN) in his return to interior art! Unfortunately, his family life is a mess, and his wife Sonya has had enough. Can George pull it together before she decides to leave him for good?

jughead7Jughead #7 – $3.99

The streets of New York have been plagued by a pattern of crimes too weird and bizarre for the average detective.
