Wednesday is here again, which means a new week for new comics (ANIMOSITY, QUANTUM & WOODY, & REACTOR). If you are like me, you may still have a stack of comics that haven’t been read from last week, but how can anyone fault us for reading. Here is a list of books I will be picking up at my local comic shop.

Like many readers I try to budget my purchases, which can become difficult when there are so many quality books being published each week. So here are 5 titles to consider picking up this week.

animosity aftershock

ANIMOSITY #12 – $3.99

Aftershock Comics – Marguerite Bennett (@EvilMarguerite), Rafael de Latorre (@De_Latorre), Rob Schwager (@robschwager), Marshall Dillon (@MarshallDillon)

The twisting timelines converge as Jesse races to stop a war and Sandor dives into the darkness for the family that he loves.

larks killer devils due

LARK’S KILLER #5 – $3.99

Devils Due/1First Comics Bill Willingham (@BillWillingham), Travis Moore (@TravisGMoore), Jason Pearson

Brenar says no. “If I teach you to fight, it’ll make my job harder.” Brenar gives her a Buck Up And Get Strong speech. Brenar takes them to a new town, where he knows a sorcerer who might be able to help them figure out what’s going on. As a price for the sorcerer’s help, Brenar has to fight a duel. Brenar fights a duel.

quantum woody valiant

QUANTUM & WOODY #2 – $3.99

Valiant Entertainment – Daniel Kibblesmith (@kibblesmith), Kano, Dave Sharpe (@daveLsharpe), Geoff Shaw (@GeoffShaw12)
The must-read superhero-action-family-drama-buddy-comedy throwdown of 2018! It’s the ones you love that hurt you the most…and, in the case of super-powered adoptive brothers Eric and Woody Henderson – aka Quantum and Woody – this is defi nitely going to leave a mark! Quantum has kept the truth about Woody’s biological father a secret, and now that Woody has found out about his brother’s betrayal, their once-promising superhero career has ground to a standstill. So now it’s time for one last shot at teaming up as our heroes head “down under” – ahem, to Australia – in search of Woody’s one true DNA match. Like father, like son? Let’s hope not. You’ll believe two men and a goat can fl y coach when the new adventures of the world’s worst superhero team continue with a slightly less collectible second issue from rising star Daniel Kibblesmith (The Late Show With Stephen Colbert) and dazzling artist extraordinaire Kano (Daredevil)!

reactor vault

REACTOR #2 – $3.99

Vault Comics – Donny Cates (@Doncates), Dylan Burnett (@dylrburnett), Dee Cunniffe (@deezoid), Taylor Esposito (@TaylorEspo)

Cursed is King Luc: For he shall inherit the Earth. Well, maybe not this time. As Poli, Weep, and the gang annihilate blood suckers, Palus initiates phase two of the Interceptor program, codenamed: Reactor. Marinate with sunlight. Sprinkle with Decimators. Eviscerate entire planet.
