It is Wednesday again, I am looking at the stack of comics I have not had the chance to read from the week(s) previous, and here I am making a list of titles I will be picking up at my local comic shop.
Like many I try to budget my purchases, which can become difficult with the vast amount of quality books being published currently. So here are 5 titles worth looking into this week, and a couple honorary mentions for those that have some extra cash from the recent trip to the bottle depot
Don’t forget to tweet us your picks @FoxForce5News #ff5comics
We Are Robin #1 – $3.99
Writer Lee Bermejo brings a new title where hundreds of Gotham city teenagers have adopted the sigil of the Robin to take on the cities criminal activity. With art by Rob Haynes, Khary Randolph, this title is a must read for all Gotham fans.
This Image Comics series written by Brian Buccellato and art by Toni Infante continues in issue 2 with Travis trying to move on after the murder of his friend when a clue leads him and his girlfriend Melissa right into the sights of a killer.
E is For Extinction #1 – $4.99
Many of Marvels Secret wars tie-in’s have been absolutely spectacular and this is likely to be one of them. Chris Burnham and Ramon Villalobos bring you a new mini story with Magneto running the Xavier institute in a world where Mutants have proven to be Homo-Superior and humans want to be one of them rather than fight against them.
Doctor Strange visits the 4th issue of Howard the Duck which promises to bring plenty of jokes and a hilarious read. Also featuring a Secret Wars 1984 tie-in.
Daredevil is faced with a massive decision in this exciting issue which could lead to the death of Matt Murdock and with a new rival coming to San-Francisco this could very well be the end of the Daredevil we know.
If that’s not enough comic goodness for you then we also recommend checking out Fade Out #7, Material #2, Where Monsters Dwell #2 and Ninjak #4.
