Top 5 Keanu Reeves Movies

by | Sep 2, 2019

Today is the man, the myth, the legend’s birthday. Keanu Reeves may not be as Oscar winning actor, but he may be the most loved actor in Hollywood these days. His reputation on a film set is superb and he’s an even better person on the streets when he’s not beating up bad guys. People have always described him as a down to earth guy and we can all agree that Hollywood needs more people like that. Let’s take a look at his top 5 movies. Since he has been in some successful franchises, those will be lumped together in one ranking.

Honorable Mentions:

The Devil’s Advocate

The Whole Truth

Street Kings

A Walk in the Clouds

5.  Constantine

Constantine might be Keanu’s most underrated movie in his career. Packed with action, light comedy, and an intriguing premise, this one is a blast to watch. There are some scenes that don’t get talked about enough.

4. Point Break

Point Break is an action classic. One can say this one helped jumpstart Reeves’ action movie star career. He has done many dramas and thrillers since then, but we all love him the most when he’s shooting and fighting bad guys.

3. Speed

Speed is a nonstop thrill ride that keeps you on the edge of your seat. So much works in this movie. From Keanu’s chemistry with Sandra Bullock to the contrast between him and antagonist Dennis Hopper, Speed is one of those movies that you can watch over and over.

2. John Wick Franchise

This is a franchise that no one wants to end. Somehow, they just keep getting better and better. Reeves is in top action star form with the stylized fight scenes, and his gun skills have never been better. Is John Wick Chapter 4 in production yet? WE NEED IT.

1.  The Matrix Franchise

To some people, The Matrix movies got worse with each sequel. Reeves remained fantastic in the role of Neo throughout the trilogy, though. I personally loved the entire franchise and even though the story took a backseat to the action with 2003’s The Matrix Revolutions, all the movies are still awesome in their own way. The Matrix universe is so interesting and the fact we have The Matrix 4 on the way is absolutely amazing.
