From 20th Century Fox and director Matt Reeves comes the third film in this incredible revitalization of the Planet of the Apes franchise titled ‘War For The Planet of The Apes’. Starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Terry Notary and Karin Konoval, the film hits theaters July 14, 2017.
Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
Betrayal seems to be a common theme in this latest War for The Planet of The Apes trailer. Looks like one of Caesar’s Ape buddies changes sides (unless this gorilla was always with them), but he’s definitely walking alongside Woody Harrelson’s character and he’s helping load machine guns for their army. I can’t wait for this film – maybe my most anticipated film of 2017 as I’m in love with the previous two movies in this glorious franchise.
