From director David Ayer (Suicide Squad) comes the original Netflix film ‘Bright‘. Starring Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez, Ike Barinholtz, Enrique Murciano and Jay Hernandez, the film will debut exclusively on the streaming platform everywhere this December, 2017.
We had our first teaser trailer for ‘Bright’ and now we have a closer look at Joel Edgerton in full Orc-Mode. I’m ecstatic that this fantasy action flick is debuting on Netflix instead of theaters, but I’m also shocked because David Ayer’s last film was a “go-to-the-movies and have a blast” kind of deal and while ‘Bright’ has all the makings of a great time at the cinemas — we’re gonna stream that shit at 12 AM instead and watch it in our underpants.
It’s a drastic shift in the era of big budget films — skipping the bullshit and going straight to our home TV’s and tablets. I love the concept for this movie and I would have definitely went to the theater to see it, but now I don’t have to either. Warcraft meets Training Day – let’s do this ‘Bright’ – let’s do this.
