It is Wednesday again, I am looking at the stack of comics I have not had the chance to read from the week(s) previous, and here I am making a list of titles I will be picking up at my local comic shop.
Like many I try to budget my purchases, which can become difficult with the vast amount of quality books being published currently. So here are 5 titles worth looking into this week, and a couple honorary mentions for those that have some extra cash from the recent trip to the bottle depot.

Black Canary is a welcome addition to the new DCyou line of comics. Brenden Fletcher and Annie Wu tackle this reimagining of the character as the lead singer of a rock band. We know this hero has the voice for the part, but we will have to see if this more down-to-earth iteration has what it takes to be a star.
This book is worth picking up for Sorrentino’s art alone, as proved through the work in the first issue. The seasoned mutant, Wolverine, continues his expedition across the Wasteland in search for answers. Is it just his regenerative abilities, or is there something special about this Wolverine which allows him to live when few other heroes have.
Season 2 of Rick & Morty can’t come soon enough. Luckily for us the comic book adaptation of the television show is on its third issue, each of which helps to tide us over until late July. Zac Gorman does an excellent job keeping the tone and characters inline with that of the show, lets hope that Rick & Morty can survive another crazy, deranged adventure.
The very talented Noelle Stevenson (Lumberjanes) and Sanford Greene (Uncanny Avengers), bring together the most talented teens of the Marvel Universe (or whats left of it). What kind of school drama will arise when these budding heroes are confronted with super villians, will they be able to handle the pressure?
What is not to love about Jason Aaron writing various versions of Thor, but what about bringing together every Thor in one book. This newest Secret Wars tie-in focuses on Doom’s battalion of Thors as they police over Battleworld. Hopefully we will get insight, beyond the information from Secret Wars #2, as to how this force of Thors work together to solve crimes and bring justice.
Extra pulls: Archie vs Predator #3, Bloodshot Reborn #3, Lazarus #17, Lumberjanes #15, Southern Bastards #9
