From Netflix and writers Michael Showalter and David Wain comes the SEQUEL to the cult classic film – Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. Starring Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Michael Showalter, Elizabeth Banks, Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Meloni, Michael Ian Black, Ken Marino, Molly Shannon, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, A.D. Miles and Joe LoeTruglio, the eight-episode mini-series is set to debut in 2017.
Wet Hot American Summer (2001)
Set on the last day of camp, in the hot summer of 1981, “Wet Hot American Summer” follows a group of counselors who are each trying to complete their unfinished business before the day ends. The entire summer of pent-up sexual frustrations, unresolved post-traumatic stress, pending separations and of course, the talent show, all weigh heavily on the minds and groins of counselors and campers alike.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015)
Counselors and campers check in for what’s billed as “the summer of your life” at Maine’s Camp Firewood in 1981. The Netflix original is a prequel to the 2001 cult film “Wet Hot American Summer,” and features many of the same actors, portraying even younger versions of themselves than they did in the film. Reuniting the original cast was no small feat, given the busy careers of Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Meloni, Janeane Garofalo, Bradley Cooper and Amy Poehler. New to camp in 2015 are Chris Pine, Jon Hamm and Kirsten Wiig. Original director David Wain helms the series, and he and Michael Showalter penned the scripts.
